Mountain of Hell mountain bike race
News — By Admin on July 20, 2010 at 3:58 pmLast weekend Les 2 Alpes played host to the Mountain of Hell mountain bike event that saw amateurs and pros racing together the full 2500m descent from the Les 2 Alpes glacier.
Over thirty volunteers oversaw the running of the event and for the first time in who knows when, it was actually sunny!
The line up of pros in attendance was noteworthy with Karim Amour, Nicolas Lau, Olivier Giordanengo, Jérôme Clementz, David Missud, Sven Martin, Greg Doucende all in the mix.
After two chill days of riding the finals took place on Sunday, under sunny skies and with a saxophonist playing out a few tunes at 3400m.
Olivier Gioranengo finally took the number one spot, followed in second by Nicolas Lau and Nicolas Amour.
