OverBoard’s new waterproof iPad case

canoe, Canoe equipment, Gear, News, Technical — By Outdoor Adventure Guide on August 24, 2010 at 4:20 pm

OverBoard, a leading designer and manufacturer of waterproof travel and sports gear and an official kit supplier to the RNLI, have launched its Waterproof iPad case

Fitted with a durable shoulder strap and carabineer clip. With a robust, lightweight design, this OverBoard case enables full use of all touch screen controls and applications, whilst providing 100 per cent protection from water, dust, sand and dirt. The OverBoard iPad case is available from November for £44.95 at www.OverBoard.com.

The OverBoard iPad case is designed to protect an iPad, but it will also fit other similarly sized devices, such as eBook readers and portable DVD players. Fully submersible in water for up to six metres (19ft), it is constructed from durable TPU, and seals tight with OverBoards’ Slide Seal System. Extremely easy to use, the four switches slide and fix into the ‘lock’ position and once sealed, guarantee ultimate protection from the elements.

The transparent TPU front window allows full use of the iPad’s touch screen controls, while the grey, opaque back panel provides a convenient hand strap that can be held in both portrait and landscape orientations. The OverBoard iPad case also comes with a robust shoulder strap so users can transport their iPad more comfortably; a carabineer clip and moisture sensitive desiccant sachet is also included.
