The Dark Side of the Lens

Relentless Energy release a series of short films painting intimate portraits of athletes and photographers living their lives through their vices.

In the first of the series, Dark Side of the Lens, renowned surf photographer Mickey Smith narrates us through the passion and complexities of doing what he does. The film is shot beautifully, featuring epic and rugged scenary, and is an ode to living life how you want to live it, to following your dreams.

The film has just won the New York Surf Film Festival and the Canadian Film Festival.

In the words of Smith, “If I only srape a living, at least it is a living worth scraping.” Take a look…
