Paramo Alta II
Gear, Jackets — By Outdoor Adventure Guide on June 11, 2012 at 12:58 pmParamo Alta II £245
This jacket is the heaviest of the group and therefore the warmest of them and is particularly effective in windy weather. The styling is not fitted and because of this it feels quite old fashioned. The hood stows away completely which is ideal for windy British weather. The styling
is not very feminine due to the lack of fitting at the waist, but on the plus side this allows for lots of layering. Because of this, it does feel a little bulky. But it is warm and waterproof. Adjustable cuffs and scooped tail – a useful feature for
harsh weather.
FABRIC Paramo Directional
FIT Generous fit, ideal for layering
OAG Likeys Neat little velcro breast pocket ideal for storing a phone
OAG No Likeys Pit zips are positioned towards the front, so having them open when raining means you can get wet. Bulky fit - no waist definition
Overall For all round use this is a very good jacket particularly in winter when something warmer is needed. But it wouldn’t be the first choice for my rucksack.
