Approach Shoes: Hi-Tec V-Lite Infinity

Footwear — By Outdoor Adventure Guide on July 16, 2012 at 11:59 am

Hi-tec V-Lite Infinity

Hi-Tec-V-Lite-Infinity-HPI

HPI £90

First impressions: Strictly speaking this is a lightweight adventure sports shoe rather than a conventional approach shoe. But we’ve included it here because of a growing trend of walkers who want something fast and light. These are equally good for walking and trail running. The new V-Lite Infinity range is very modern looking. The fit is very comfy witha sock like fit. Our shoe came with ion-mask technology, a very effective water repellent treatment. One of the lightest shoes here, with a seamless upper for maximum comfort. Made in China

Men’s and Women’s available

FABRIC Manmade, seamless upper zone engineering). Plus ion-mask treatment

FIT Very light and comfortable

SOLE flex-zone technology

OAG Likeys We like the rather radilcal styling. Super light and comfy on foot too. Synthetic material makes for quick drying

OAG No Likeys Two of us tested this shoe and we’re both size 6 – it came up very small
Go for the next size up

Overall A versatile shoe which is equally happy skipping along the fells or the gym floor. But the compromise here is actual foot support

Verdict

Fit: 17

Design: 20

Performance: 18

Quality: 18

Value: 19

Overall: 92/100
