Join us on the ultimate family canoe adventure this summer!

Join OAG for the ultimate family canoe, bushcraft and camping weekend this July with explorer and global paddler Richard Harpham!

The Outdoor Adventure Guide are working with Richard’s company Canoetrail to offer you an action filled canoe and camping trip for you and your family on the 22nd-23rd July 2017 packed with fun and accessible bushcraft activities.

Canoe Trail trip 1

Paddle along the River Great Ouse from Bedford to Matchstick Wood where we will be setting up camp for the night.  Along the way we will be learning new paddle skills and stopping for a lunch along the river bank.  Once we arrive at Matchstick Wood we will set up camp and prepare our evening meal and take part in some outdoor activities and finish the night in our woodland cinema.

The next morning after breakfast you will be able to learn more about firelighting, shelter building, low ropes, expedition planning and just how many of you can fit on a giant SUP before a campfire lunch.  Once we are all fed and watered we will jump back onto the water where we will head back to Great Barford via a weir for the extra adventurous.

Canoe Trail trip 2

This is a great opportunity to get a taste of paddling and camping, and it’s manageable for all; there will be a total of 8 miles of paddling which even the youngest participants can get stuck into! The value is unbeatable for a fully-sorted trip with all of these activities.
